Website & SEO Audit

www.buetecelectrical.com.au, audited 17 September 2026, the day it went live on the real domain. Every finding below comes from crawling the live pages, reading the Webflow site behind them, Ahrefs, Google Analytics and Google Tag Manager. Where something has already been fixed since, it says so.

The short version, Nuno. Your new site looks the part and the service pages have real content. Underneath, it was still half template on the day it launched: a US phone number in the menu, dead links on every page, five service pages with no title for Google to read, placeholder Latin text on the suburb pages, and no way of measuring a single lead. None of it is hard to fix and most of it is already fixed and waiting on one publish. The bit that matters commercially is the second half: the searches you can realistically win in the next 90 days, and the one you can't yet.

Where the site stood on launch day

Service pages with no title tag5 of 6The sixth said "hello". Google had nothing to rank them on.
Pages linking to dead template pages25 of 25Three 404s in the nav and footer, on every page
Visits Google Analytics recorded from www0No tracking code on the domain at all
Homepage image weight10.4 MBOne switchboard photo alone was 3.6 MB

A quick word on the jargon you'll see below. A title tag is the line Google shows as the blue link in results, and the strongest single signal of what a page is about. A meta description is the grey text under it. Indexing means Google has found a page and put it in its results. Domain Rating (DR) is Ahrefs' 0 to 100 score of how many trusted sites link to yours; it is what decides the hard keywords.

What customers could see (and what has been done)

These are the things a visitor, or Google, saw on launch day. Status as of 18 September: fixed and staged means it's done in Webflow and goes live on the next publish; Kash means it needs your developer in the Designer; Nuno means we need an answer from you.

What we foundWhy it mattersStatus
"Call +(1)578-365-379" in the header on every page, twice. A US number left over from the plumbing template the site was built from. Tappable.A customer in Clarkson taps it and gets a dead line in America. Also tells Google the site is a template.Fixed and staged
Every page linked to three pages that don't exist (/template/about and two old homepages). The About link in the menu was one of them.Google follows every link. Dead ones waste its crawl and look like neglect.Fixed and staged
Homepage said "Licensed under electrician" (a broken sentence) and talked about "a proven track record of plumbing challenges".Trust is the whole sale for a tradie. Template copy undoes it in one line.Fixed and staged
A "600+ jobs Completed" counter and a "lifetime workmanship warranty" claim, the warranty in 14 places.Neither has been confirmed. A claim you can't back is a liability, not a selling point. Warranty removed everywhere for now.Nuno: confirm the warranty and we put it back, stronger
All six suburb pages showed "Heading 1 ... Lorem ipsum dolor sit amet" placeholder text, plus a second page heading reading "Heading 1".Latin filler on a live page is the fastest way to lose a customer's confidence.Fixed and staged
Six footer service links all went to a 404 page. The footer is on every page. Six dead links per page, site-wide.Fixed and staged
On a phone, there was no call button until 6,991 pixels down the homepage. Most emergency calls come from a phone, outdoors, in a hurry.Fixed and staged (call button now in the mobile header)
Checkout, PayPal checkout and order confirmation pages live. Plumber job ads set in New Jersey. Product plans with US pricing.Template leftovers Google can index. Most drafted; the checkout pages need Ecommerce switched off in site settings

FindingPlain EnglishStatus
Blank title tag on 5 of 6 service pages, "hello" on the sixth. No descriptions on 12 pages. These six pages are the ones that need to win "emergency electrician perth" and the like. With no title, they couldn't.All six titles and descriptions written, staged
No sitemap (the page returned 404). Empty robots.txt.A sitemap is the list of pages you hand Google. Without one, it has to stumble on your 30 pages by itself. Two toggles in Webflow site settings
No canonical tag on any page.A canonical tag tells Google which address is the real one, so www and non-www don't split your credit. One setting in Webflow
No structured data (schema) anywhere.Schema is the machine-readable card that tells Google "this is an electrician at this address with this phone number".Electrician schema on the homepage, Service schema on all 7 service pages, staged and verified
Six suburb pages that were 90% identical, with one shared photo and about 45 unique words each.Google treats near-identical pages as "doorway pages" and shows none of them, or the wrong one. This exact thing cost another electrician 18 pages this month. All 6 rewritten, 10 new suburbs added, 350+ unique words each, 3 FAQs each
Homepage loads 10.4 MB of images. 31 of 39 images have no alt text.Every second of load time on a phone costs roughly 7% of visitors. Alt text is how Google reads a photo.Kash: compress to 1600px WebP, add alt text

Is anything measuring your leads? Not yet.

This matters more than any ranking. On launch day nothing on www.buetecelectrical.com.au was recording a visit, a call or a form. Google Analytics had 44 sessions in 30 days, all from the quote form and the ad landing pages, and zero from the new site. Here is each layer and where it stands.

What you can rank for, and how soon

Search numbers are Google's own Keyword Planner (monthly, Australia, 18 September) with Ahrefs for difficulty. Difficulty (KD) is a 0 to 100 estimate of how many links a page needs to reach the first page. Under 10 is winnable on a good page and a solid map listing in about 90 days. Over 40 is a link-building job that takes 6 to 12 months.

The fast bucket: worth going hard on now

Put plainly: about 1,300 searches a month sit in front of pages you already have, with nobody strong ranking for them. That is where the first jobs from the website will come from.

The slow bucket: don't expect these this year

Your site has 0 organic keywords and a Domain Rating of effectively 0 today. That is normal for a business your size and a starting line, not a decline. To take "electrician perth" you'd need real links from Perth sites in the dozens, which is a month-2-onwards project, after the fast bucket is producing.

Worth knowing

Your backlinks are 97% spam, and that's fine

Ahrefs shows 363 sites linking to buetecelectrical.com.au. Almost all are "buy backlinks" spam sites (names like linkrankpro.shop) that hit thousands of small businesses automatically. Nobody bought them, Google ignores them, and we won't waste time on a disavow file unless Search Console ever flags a manual action. Your real links: three.

Already right

What we're leaving alone

Real, specific copy on all six service pages and three blog posts. Real photos of your work throughout. www set as the main address with the bare domain redirecting to it. A suburb page system in the CMS with the right fields. The homepage title. The bones are good.

The plan, in order

Step 1Publish the fixes

Kash sets the FAQ filter, the form redirect, sitemap and canonical toggles, compresses the images, then one publish. Everything staged goes live together.

Step 2Switch on measurement

Search Console created and sitemap submitted. GA4 key events marked. GTM published. Then one real test call and one test form, checked end to end.

Step 3Feed the fast bucket

One "what it costs" article per service (three drafted, waiting on your prices). Google Business Profile tidied, reviews asked for after every job, recency beats total.

Step 4Then the head term

Month 2 onwards: real Perth citations and a link gap analysis against Hilton and Response. That is the only road to "electrician perth".

What we need from you, Nuno

Three things and they're all quick. Yes or no on the lifetime workmanship warranty. Your rough prices for the common jobs (call-out, switchboard, EV charger, power points) so the cost articles are real. And a few lines about you for a proper About page: how you started, what you did before, what you'd want a customer to know before they ring.
